Confirmation - The Calling

Welcome to Your Confirmation Journey

Discover. Grow. Choose Christ - Say Yes!

Confirmation isn’t just a religious milestone — it’s a personal invitation to step deeper into faith, embrace the Holy Spirit, and live out your unique calling as a disciple of Jesus Christ.  It is a time for discovering who you are, deepening your relationship with God, and finding your place within the Church community.

Whether you're a candidate, a sponsor, a parent, or simply seeking to learn more, this page is designed to offer trusted resources, practical guides, and reflections to support you along the way.

Your journey is personal. Your faith is powerful.

Answering

Explore Jesus' call to sainthood and communion with him through our, "The Calling" themed series of resources.  Reflect on what Jesus is calling you to and how to respond more fully. Consider what helps or hinders your ability to listen to his call.  â€‹"I am the vine, you are the branches. Those who abide in me and I in them bear much fruit, because apart from me you can do nothing." John 15:5

What happens at Confirmation?  "You are annointed.  You are marked with an indellible mark that stays in your soul forever by the power of the Holy Spirit.  The word Christ means annointed.  You become like Christ in the world."  (Chris Stefanik - SMM ITTeam Video)

"When we are confirmed, the Holy Sprit comes into our lives and sets us free.  He gives us a new understanding, a new sense of purpose. He lifts us up into the life of God, the Most Holy Trinity.  We are ordinary sinful people, but he helps us to be saints"   (Fr. Stephen Wang, Sycamore Seek Video)

Prayer for Confirmation Candidates

Come Holy Spirit

Confirm, O God, what you have begun in us.
Preserve the gifts of the Holy Spirit in the hearts of your faithful.

May we never be ashamed
to confess Christ crucified before the world that he saved,
and through devoted charity,
may we always strive to fulfill his commands.

Hear our prayer, O Holy Spirit:
Call us to serve as witnesses in the world,
to respond with courage to the vocation you give our lives,
and to live as temples of your love,
building up the Church through our actions.

Grant us the grace to say "Amen"—
a firm yes to your guiding presence—
so that we may walk in faith, hope, and charity all our days.

Amen.
